Wouldn't that be fun...oh if I were only rich. I would move to south devon and join your merry troupe. many blessings and good luck on this quest. not easy to cast the right people, I know. I'm casting Romeo and Juliet right now...what a bitch!blessings, dix
I can imagine! what always gets under my skin are the timewasters. We had someone want to take on the role, but because, historically, William of Orange was Protestant, and they objected to playing anyone who wasnt Catholic. They then said they were fine with it when I asked if it were a serious problem for them, but then they refused to attend rehearsals, on these grounds..... so we are having an urgent re-cast!
Should read* but historically, William of Orange was Protestant, and they objected to playing anyone who wasnt Catholic.
Oh, you must be kidding! Dear God. That is a new one for me. I played the Defense attorney in "Night of January 16th" once with a week of rehearsal. That was a challenge. Fun though, one of my favorite theater stories. I would LOVE playing William of Orange, what a great character. I'm adding you, keep me posted on this.
